Input insulation control cabinet - 500 (hereinafter referred to as ISC-500 cabinet) is designed to connect the inputs of the power transformer to the windings of matching transformers installed inside the ISC-500 cabinet.
The ISC-500 cabinet must work in conjunction with the relay unit included in the ISC-500 device (hereinafter ISC-500). ISC-500 consists of two parts - ISC-500 cabinet and relay block. ISC-500 is used to protect the insulation of high-voltage bushings of 330, 500 and 750 kV, installed on transformers, autotransformers and reactors.
The ISC-500 cabinet must work in conjunction with the relay unit included in the ISC-500 device.
ISC-500 is necessary to protect the insulation of high voltage bushings of 330, 500 and 750 kV, installed on transformers, autotransformers and reactors.
The principle of operation of the ISC-500 is based on measuring the sum of a three-phase system of currents flowing under the influence of operating voltage through the insulation of three inputs included in different phases. With the development of damage to the insulation of the input or with an increase in active leaks during the development of breakdown of the input in a pre-balanced sum of currents, a component of the industrial frequency appears to which the device responds.
The main functions of the cabinet ISC-500:
- protection against high voltage in case of breakdown of insulation in high voltage bushings;
- identification of input with broken insulation;
- signal transmission from matching transformers in ISC-500.
